Accuracy Before Speed
IPC Global News seeks to publish information that is accurate, properly attributed and presented in context. The urgency of a developing story does not remove the responsibility to verify material facts.
Where information remains preliminary, disputed or incomplete, the article should make that uncertainty clear rather than presenting an assumption as an established fact.
Verification and Fact Checking
Editors and contributors should verify names, dates, quotations, institutional titles, statistics and major factual claims against reliable primary or authoritative sources whenever reasonably possible.
For developing international events, preference is given to official documents, direct statements, recognized international organizations, public records and reputable reporting with clear sourcing.
Sources and Attribution
Information derived from another organization, publication, report or public statement must be clearly attributed. External articles should link to the original publisher when available.
Anonymous or confidential sources may be considered only when the information serves a genuine public-interest purpose and when the newsroom can evaluate the source’s credibility and basis of knowledge.
Editorial Judgment and Institutional Perspective
IPC Global News is an official publication of the International Peace Commission and reflects its commitment to peace, human dignity, international cooperation and sustainable development.
At the same time, editorial material should distinguish factual reporting from institutional statements, analysis, commentary, opinion and advocacy. The publication should not knowingly distort facts to support a preferred position.
Conflicts of Interest
Editors and contributors should disclose material relationships, financial interests or organizational roles that could reasonably affect—or appear to affect—their treatment of a subject.
Where a conflict cannot be adequately disclosed or managed, the contributor should not be assigned primary editorial responsibility for the material.
Sponsored, Partner and Submitted Content
Paid, sponsored or partner-supported content must be clearly identified. Financial support does not grant a sponsor control over factual conclusions or the right to disguise promotional content as independent reporting.
Press releases, submissions and partner announcements may provide leads, but they remain subject to review, verification, editing and appropriate labeling.
Artificial Intelligence and Human Oversight
Artificial intelligence tools may assist with research organization, drafting support, transcription, translation, formatting or technical production. They must not replace responsible human editorial judgment.
Material claims, quotations, citations and sensitive representations must be reviewed by a person before publication. AI-generated information should never be treated as verified merely because it appears plausible.
Corrections and Accountability
Substantive errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. The newsroom will distinguish routine updates from corrections, clarifications and retractions according to the nature of the change.
Readers may report possible errors through the channels listed on our Contact page.
